Emma had to go to school in the morning for tests, but we pulled her out at lunch so that she could come home and carve pumpkins with us.
As usual, we motored down to Ashland for the Children's Parade. Emma was a garden fairy; Zephyr was a garden gnome, and Zoë was a ladybug. Erica was a cat and Erik was Superman. The costumes were perfect and everyone seemed to love them.
When we got home, we whipped up a quick dinner and then Erik and Erica took Emma trick-or-treating. Despite having carved, lit pumpkins lining our driveway we got less than the one trick-or-treater we got last year. That's right; nobody. Oh well. More candy for us!
