Spent some time up Shorthorn Gulch with Collier looking for good spots to take the State Office and other BLM staff to look at the issue of stream periodicity. This timber unit was a perfect example of the difficulty we have determining what to do with streams that flow perennial, but then go subsurface in alluvium when the hillslope gradient lessens.
