n this day, we got up kind of early, checked out of the hotel, and got bagel sandwiches for breakfast in Reno since that's what the kids were craving. Driving the entire length of Nevada is tiring, but the scenery is surprisingly beautiful. That said, I don't think we stopped until we got to Tonapah where we got gas and lunch before driving the rest of the way to Pahrump where we had a hotel for the night. The highlight of the drive was seeing how much snow was still on the eastern Sierras and seeing wild burros around Beatty!

Once in Pahrump and after we got checked in, we went out for Mexican food at a really tasty restaurant that also served fantastic margaritas they way there meant to be: on the rocks with no salt! After dinner we went to the local grocery store to buy firewood and food for camping in Death Valley.
