Labor Day Harvests

This time of year really is great for eating and drinking because it's harvest season.  Weather is cooling, but isn't cold yet; everything is ripening up; and everything is fresh!  For us that means tomatoes, peppers, and tomatillos!  Lots of pesto, salsa, and ceviche!

Also, it's the month when hops get harvested!  Here are some pics of Ron and Cory and myself up at the TopWire Hop Project partaking of some particularly juicy IPAs.

And finally, I took Dohnele to Junction City with her paddleboard and then drove myself down the Willamette River to Harrisburg where I waited for her to paddle down to me for a pickup.  It wasn't a good trip for her because she did get dumped in the river at a strainer across the river and she lost her prescription sunglasses in the process, but she did make it alright in the end.
