Reno, NV to Salem, OR

Today was basically just focused on getting home quickly since both of us had done this drive plenty of times and seen most of the sites.  Nonetheless, I did pull us over at Petroglyph Point in Lava Beds National Monument because Ron hadn't been there before.  Unfortunately, unlike spring, there wasn't a single nesting bird in the cliffs, but the glyphs are impressive in their own right.

We crossed into Oregon, skipped lunch and headed right for the Cascades.  We did pull over at Salt Creek Falls on Willamette Pass since neither of us had seen that and it was incredibly impressive - made even more so by the fact that we hadn't seen any water in nature in about a week!

Pulled into Salem after dark, exhausted.  Fantastic, albeit a long road trip!  Saw some amazing places.  Good company.
