Rhea's Promotion Ceremony

Longtime friend, Rhea, announced that she was being promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in the Army and invited a number of us up to Joint Base Lewis-McChord to celebrate with her.  Dohnele ended up not being able to take the time off.  I ended up picking up Mariska and her mother in Clackamas and driving to the Portland Train Station to catch a northbound train while Jennifer, Hector, and Lupe drove.  And joining us on this get-together was Juliet Agne, from Seattle, whom most of us hadn't seen since high school!  We all gathered at the base entrance where we were escorted in and waited for the ceremony to start which turned out to be a short, yet sweet ceremony and lunch.  After that, we headed over to Rhea's Home where we all hung out for the afternoon before departing.  Mariska and I took a Lyft back to the Tacoma Train Station which was a bit of a drive and ended up getting caught in traffic and almost missing our train.  We literally had to run and were the last people to board!  But we made it.  All said and told, it was a great day!
