Halloween 2015

Had a really great visit from Uncle Don and Aunt Mary.  My stream restoration project was wrapping up and I was in need of some serious relaxation, besides.  On the first day they were in town, I actually took them to a work dinner that the Rogue Basin Partnership was hosting.  We followed that up with dinner at Wild River and Climate City Brewing in Grants Pass.
Red Lily Winery on the Applegate River

Serra Vineyard and Winery (above and both below)

The next day we went out wine tasting!  First to Serra, then to Red Lily, Caprice, and Del Rio.  That evening we designed and I carved up four pumpkins.

On Saturday we headed to Jacksonville for some downtown trick-or-treating and shopping.  Then we drove south to Ashland for the parade.  We just barely made it.  A quick viewing of "Thriller" and then to Standing Stone for beer and curry sweet potato fries.  After that we popped in to The Black Sheep Pub before heading home.  Dohnele had already taken the kids trick-or-treating so we just had a big dinner and watched a movie.

So glad Don and Mary were able to come down...enjoy the obviously spectacular weather, wonderful wineries and help in the pumpkin carving. Fun for all!!!
