The annual Soil, Water, Air, Riparian, and Fisheries training session happened in Welches, Oregon on the Sandy River. A surprisingly nice place and winter transitioned to summer overnight it seemed. Lots of great speakers, great networking, good food, and good company.
The field tour on the final day was led by the fisheries biologist who had collaboratively done a lot of restoration on the mainstem Sandy River. Large river restoration is something I haven't done much of, so I took a lot of pictures and soaked it all up.

Sounds like a good conference...glad you were able to see some work on larger river systems.
