God's Thumb
The kids love the beach. It was keeping them close that was the problem. Like any kids, each of them had their own opinion of what constituted a good time. Definitely tricky keeping an eye on everyone.
Anyway, we walked north along Roads End Beach to Roads End Point. The tide was low enough that we walked around the point to the hidden pocket beach beneath God's Thumb. It's a great place and we had the place to ourselves. Gradually, the clouds rolled in around sunset and we started hiking out.
The twins crashed hard on the hike out. They got cold and sandy and tired and rashy in a big hurry. Fortunately, they slept the entire drive home.
I love this picture. It's a perfect capture of the kids. Zephyr is being goofy, Zoë isn't smiling, and Emma is trying to get Zoë to smile!
