Boulder Creek

Spent an afternoon out on Boulder Creek looking at proposed stream restoration with local staff.  We placed a couple stream temperature data loggers and discussed the best path for moving forward on the restoration project since there are several complications.  Even though the stream needs restoration, there is the Mount Hood Scenic Corridor and the Wild and Scenic River Act to contend with.  Both of those pieces of legislation say that basically the area shall remain untouched.  Which means that even to do "good work," our hands may be bound.  So we're looking at how best to move forward in the face of all that.
