Lobster Creek was recently congressionally-designated "Wild & Scenic" which has left the BLM scratching their heads about what to do with the stream now that it has a new designation. The first step is better understanding the stream and to do that, I'm stepping up water quality monitoring efforts on this and other streams which were all designated last year.
These are some pictures of Carla and I installing stream temperature monitoring equipment at lower, middle, and upper reaches of Lobster Creek. We'll be following up this summer with some flow measurements.

"Wild and scenic" indeed. I don't think I have seen a lovelier setting. Just beautiful...and the wild flowers have me scratching my head...totally unfamiliar...and exquisite!
