Started the week off with the district's third Campfire Session - this time in the Siuslaw Field Office where Cory and I gave an update on the dam removal project that we're working on and their staff gave us an update on summer 2022 fish passage projects and a potential road slated for decommissioning.
Later in the week, there was a two day western Oregon Aquatics Meeting held for the first time in person since before Covid! We all met up in Springfield for a day of meeting and then did pizza and beer afterwards at Hop Valley.
And finally, on Easter Sunday, we got a break in the weather for helicopter spraying of insecticide at Horning Seed Orchard. So at 3am, myself and a crew departed Salem to deploy water and air quality monitoring equipment in advance of the helicopter lifting off. The spraying went flawlessly and without drift which is what we were aiming (pun intended) for.
