Restoration Field Tours

My twice annual duty to the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board kicked in at beginning of the year with a couple field tours to proposed restoration sites up near Tillamook.  The first handful of sites were right near the city of Tillamook and along Tillamook Bay.  We got to look at a few culverts that are all undersized, falling apart, and barriers to fish.

Getting raingear on before heading out into the weather!

The second set of tours were up in the Nehalem area where we looked at a stream and an estuary both proposed for restoration.

It was really a gorgeous winter morning.  Great stream (just no structure to it).  Even saw an elk on the drive in!
