The second the kids got out of school and because Dohnele and I had the day off, we dashed over to Lincoln City for a quick walk on the beach. The weather was absolutely perfect at first: warm, sunny, clear, and only a slight breeze.
Bonus, the tide was low enough that we could sneak around the beach head to the "hidden beach!" But we could only stay about 20 minutes because the tide was coming in and I didn't want to get stuck there. The hidden beach is great because there's sea glass there to find.
We got back around the beach head and were starting to head back to the car and almost immediately, a thick fog rolled in. It was really impressive how quickly it came in and how thick it was. And between being tired from the walk and the fact that none of the kids had coats, we were all done. Driving back east towards Salem and the fog completely disappeared after only a few miles.
