Every year or so, all Aquatics staff get together for a week-long meeting. This year we all landed in Coos Bay. The day before the meeting, Cory came up from Springfield and a friend of ours, Chelsie, from Vale passed through Salem so Dohnele and I took them out to dinner before the two of them returned to Eugene. We went to Dohnele's favorite restaurant in town, Cozy Taberna.
The next day, all three of us headed to Coos Bay for the meeting. It was actually a really good meeting - one of the best we've ever had. Was certainly nice to see folks all together and discuss issues.

For the field trip we went south of Coos Bay to the Coquille River Estuary where there has been significant tide gate work to ensure maximum grazing with maximum estuary restoration. Interesting project for sure. And since we were in the neighborhood, we stopped off at Bullards Beach on our way back to Coos Bay.
