We waited a few days till everyone's schedules could line up to celebrate Emma's birthday. She and Dohnele spent all day making this super laborious German cake which turned out well.
In other news, the HVAC system at my office died which means that the temps in the office peak in the upper 80s on a daily basis. It gets humid too because there's no circulation. It's often nicer to just go outside or home.
