Really interesting weather today: the day started pretty decent, but thunderheads rolled in towards the later afternoon. Of course the sun was obscured. But as the sun dipped below the elevation of the clouds, just before it dropped beneath the horizon, the thunderheads all got lit up from below. It made everything a really strange yellowish, purplish color. Lots of great thunder to listen to! Only a couple drops of rain, but at the same time it was pouring in Ashland. Almost two inches fell in 30 minutes!!!

Summer storms are always so exciting and dramatic!!! Used to love them when we lived in Yakima....but the danger of lightening igniting a fire is unwelcome.
