Fox Creek

After spending a couple days in Burns, I popped up to John Day with some other folks to check in on the stream restoration work being done on Fox Creek by the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs.  A few former BLM employees were overseeing the project.

Buried structures meant to promote stream bank resiliency and sinuosity

Good to see them, catch up, and check up on the rather substantial work that they were undertaking on private property.  The pictures I took make things look pretty raw since the work was literally just being done and stream is mostly dry.

Very interesting! Definitely different country...nice to see other entities doing restoration work...and this time on private property. Nice to work with other agencies.
