The area of highest burn severity in the Grave Creek Fire.
The Garner Complex was actually the set of fires that burned closes to our house this year. It was comprised of the Pleasant Creek Fire and the Grave Creek Fire. I led the team of specialists you see in these photos that was charged with rehabilitating the landscape after the fire was put out. Fortunately, not much work was needed, because the fire "behaved itself" pretty well and didn't burn in high severity in any given location.
