Miles Fire Rehabilitation

Another fire that I worked even longer on was the Miles Fire.  It actually started as several fires, but they all burned together.  On this fire I was co-leading the rehabilitation efforts as I trained on my replacement in preparation for me moving to another district.  Here we are on a helicopter reconnaissance flight over the fire before it was contained.  We're assessing the extent of damage so that we could lead a team of specialists in the creation of a rehabilitation plan.  Once complete, well over a million dollars of treatments were identified as needing to be implemented in order to stabilize and rehabilitate the landscape.
