Took a day trip to Astoria. We (mostly me) wanted beer and pizza from Fort George Brewery. We drove up into Washington and then back into Oregon and US-30 on the way there. Long drive. Because of covid restrictions we didn't want to sit inside and eat, so we got a pizza and some beer and then headed up to the Astoria Column which we had never been to. Well worth the $5 entry fee (which is good for a whole year!) Fantastic views, lots of parking, and fresh air!
On the way home we drove south on US-101 to Del Rey Beach just long enough to get cold on the beach and then headed back inland to Salem to round out the day.

Alone in the world...you found a space to yourself during this horrid time. I don't think I'ver ever been up that tower...lovely view...glad you saw it and got to the beach.
