Work in the Holiday Farm Fire Footprint

A few pics from a couple different days.  The first venture was above the community of Leaburg where Aquatics staff was marking burned trees adjacent to logging roads that were deemed hazards to the public.  We were marking the trees so as to identify a few trees that could be set aside and used in stream restoration.

The second venture was to a nearby location where we were assessing culverts; both old culverts that had been damaged by the fire and new culverts placed immediately following the fire to replace burnt and damaged stream crossings.

So cold, still and desolate looking...those sparce spires.
