Fisherman's Bend

Because of my role working with Emergency Stabilization and Rehabilitation, I got a tour of the Fisherman's Bend Campground which was one of our largest recreation facilities on district; it burned to the ground in the Beachie Creek Fire last fall.  It's creepy there now.  All the buildings are burnt and damaged, signs have fallen, power poles have fallen, power lines are on the ground, well heads are burnt, picnic tables, bridges, and bank revetments are burnt, etc.  It's so bad that in most places where something wooden existed prior, now only nuts, bolts, nails, and screws remain.  Probably the most eerie are the multitude of campsite reservations all with the same date.  There are even a few mangled, partially burnt tents that haven't been cleaned up yet.
