Elkhorn Creek eDNA Work
On the final day of my mentoring adventure that I put on, I had Chelsie and Michael paired with Jeff and Peter from our Cascade's Field Office. We discussed post-fire stream restoration and then took a couple eDNA samples for The Freshwater Trust in Elkhorn and Buck Creeks; we had agreed to take a few samples for them even though they're running the Wild & Scenic River Baseline Monitoring Project for us. This was the second time I'd hiked up Elkhorn Creek since the fire burned through and it somehow got more difficult. It was a hot and sweaty and dirty affair. My white pants were completely black with charcoal by the end of the day.

Looks like your "mentoring" program a fun adventure indeed...inspite of the hike and heat.
