Emma wanted to go to the coast at least once while she was home for winter break and Dohnele had New Years off so we decided to revive a tradition of us going to the coast for New Years. Emma wanted to take us all to Cape Kiwanda because that's where she did a lot of service work in high school so even though it's 15min further up the coast and on a twistier road, we went. Zephyr got car sick and puked upon arrival, but that happens a lot, unfortunately.
The beach at Cape Kiwanda isn't anything special, but the dunes at the cape are really fun to explore and Dohnele and the twins hadn't ever been there so it was fun to hike around. And the rain held off! We got back to the car in the twilight and went to dinner at Pelican Brewery before driving home.

Looks wild and exhileratingly beautiful!!! Glad you were all able to go! Sorry the ride was a bit twisty-turny getting there...but Zephyr appears to be smiling once there!
