Deserts, Springs, and Sunstones

Started the day by driving northeast all the way past Plush, OR and up into Rabbit Basin to go hunt for sunstones.  Fortunately, we made picnic lunches because by the time we got to where we were going and by the time we wandered for an hour, hunting for sunstones, we were starving.

After sunstones, we drove the long and dusty road back to Plush and then took another long and dusty road up to the top of Hart Mountain to soak in the springs.  Time flew by and the next thing we knew, the sun was setting and we raced back to Lakeview to pick up streaks for dinner.

The next day we headed home.  We stopped for lunch in Bend for some really disappointing seafood (should have known better) and for coffee in Sisters.  After crossing The Cascades, the rain started and gave our car a good wash!
