Spent the day in the woods with my new hydro tech and the forestry techs who have been enlisted to do stream surveys in the Siuslaw Field Office. Great day of learning and discussions. And although the timber unit was pretty boring, the adjacent, never-before-harvested old growth was staggeringly beautiful!

Some rather complicated terrain to traverse...good to see the people in juxtaposition to the foliage....makes the foliage look huge and dense!
