Emma wanted to go camping for her birthday and Dohn wanted to get together with us, so we met up with him and Teresa on the South Umpqua at our "usual" spot upstream from Milo. And as luck always seems to have it, we were the first ones there and had the sandbar to ourselves!
The kids basically went swimming all afternoon until Zephyr was blue in the face and shivering. A bit surprising since it was so hot out, but then again, he's Zephyr. Dohn and Teresa stayed until about dinner time before taking off.
We explored upstream a bit, had dinner, and then went to bed. The next day was even warmer as we were packing up and taking off.

So glad you had "your sandbar" to yourself!!! Looks like a perfectly wonderful place to relax...and swim! Nice that you were able to meet up with Dohn. Fun!
