As is typical with the end of summer, harvesting fruit and vegetables is in full swing and we took advantage of that - not only in our own gardens, but also at the local Saturday Market and at a local hop farm which sells only beer that has used hops grown onsite. Incidentally, fresh-harvested hops smell amazing!

And in other news, after several years of development, I finally got the first half of my temporary bridge contract fulfilled with the delivery of bridge sills from a fabrication facility in Spokane (the bridge will be delivered later and will be coming from Colorado.)

I love fall...not necessarily the wildfires you encountered...but the smell of smoke growing up was an indication that brush was being burned, leaves turning and now Emma off to school. Lots of transitions. Will be interested to hear more of the "bridge" project.
