Day 4: Great Salt Lake

We left Ogden in the pouring down rain for the Great Salt Lake.  Fortunately, even though it was pouring everywhere, most of the rain clouds were passing right over the GSL.  Even so, it was cold, windy, and drizzly at Antelope Island.

Since last we visited this place, Utah State Parks had installed a really nice visitor center (maybe I just don't remember it).  We also got some good shots of the lake and the beach we had entirely to ourselves since it was so miserable out.  The highlight were the wild bison which we got to drive right up to.  The kids loved it even though they were pretty nervous about being so close to them at first.

After GSL, we headed back to the rain and drove south to visit Trevor and Caci and their family in Draper.  We spent the rest of the day and evening catching up with them.
