Even though we got up early, we had to basically drive all the way across southern Utah to get to Saint George. Plus we had to duck back into Arches National Park to soak up the last little piece of the park that we hadn't seen yesterday: Double Arch and the Garden of Eden.
I'm glad we went back because Double Arch truly is amazing. In my opinion, the best arches of the whole park!

We left Arches and started heading west. San Rafael Reef was a pleasant surprise. We'd heard of it, but had never been there before. Gorgeous scenery. About the time we got to Richfield, the nice sunny sky had given away to clouds complete with thunder, lightning, rain, and wind.

By the time we got to I-15, it was pouring down rain and super windy. Nonetheless, we headed south. Just north of Saint George, the rain stopped, but it was still super windy. One of the reasons we had wanted to go Saint George was Pioneer Park. And we didn't want to miss it on account of losing daylight or the rainstorm catching up with us, so we drove right there.
The wind was howling, and it was just starting to sprinkle, but Emma and I clambered around on the red rocks and got some pictures. The rain was impressive because there was so much dust in the sky that our car basically got a mud bath.
Picked up a quick dinner, checked into our hotel, and called it a night.
