Got to explore a new place today! I had never been up Lukens Creek which is a tributary to the North Fork Molalla River. I actually hadn't been to either of those places so when I found out that some survey work had to happen in that area, I jumped at the chance.
Of course the whole area was burned in the Beachie Creek Fire, but there's still a lot of beauty (rock formations) to see and a few small spots are still green. A fresh, twin-top cottonwood had fallen across the road that I had to cut out which is always fun. Between my pulaski, hatchet, and pull-chains, I had the road cleared.
