Day Trip to Roseburg

On a whim, Mike asked if I wanted to go to Roseburg for the day to discuss soils effects analyses with the local soil scientist who was having difficulties assembling her work for a timber sale.  I was actually free, so we cruised down, had a great workshop, and even got to go on an afternoon field tour of Rock Creek where we met up with Jeff who gave a follow-up of restoration work he had done in the watershed a couple years prior.

At the end of the day, I suggested we go up over the Callapooya Divide and drop down in Cottage Grove.  My first route was snowed out, unfortunately, but my second route down Sharps Creek worked and we got through.

Starting to look like spring in Salem, though!

Met some colleagues at Wolves and People to grieve lost employees (DOGE) and to generally commiserate.

On those rare, warm spring days when it's fresh outside, it's nice to open up all the windows and let the air flow!
