The Oregon Garden

One place near Salem that we've never been to just because it doesn't sound that exciting is The Oregon Garden.  But when company is in town and you're looking for fun things to do, you realize you've got a real gem of a place right in your backyard!  The garden is quite expansive and has all manner of botany and water features on display - the iris were in peak bloom.

That afternoon, we drove up the Molalla River where the invasive Scotch broom is in full bloom and I even dropped into the river to do the first swimming of 2025!
