Yardwork and Brunch

Spring is always so busy as the yard and garden are made ready for summer, things start to dry out, things get uncovered, projects are started, etc.  I re-did some stairs out front because the soil around the stairs I installed a few years ago was starting to erode.  The updated version looks nice - we'll see how it holds up this coming winter.

We moved a couch out of the house.  We've had it since we first moved to an apartment in Oregon.  It last resided in Zoe's bedroom, but even she didn't want it anymore.  So we moved it to the garage thinking that one of these days we'll take it to the dump.  Well, until then, it's actually pretty comfortable for relaxing after you've mowed the lawn or done some chores!

The bunch of us classmates that got together a month prior up in Vancouver for brunch, got together again, but this time at Lupe and Dan's house in Portland which was lovely.
