Aquatics Program Meeting

After a couple months of planning, the Program Meeting for Northwest Oregon BLM Aquatics staff finally happened.  And went off without a hitch; better than expected!  We had a large turnout from both BLM employees, multiple offices including the State Office and the Washington DC Office, local partners, and even a few members of the public!

There was something for everyone: fish research, anadromous barrier mapping, macroinvertebrates, DNA tracing, soil disturbance monitoring...  Everything!

And since neither me or my co-lead in fisheries, Cory, like meeting inside, the entire meeting was conducted outside on a logging road adjacent to South Fork Pedee Creek between a BLM commercial thinning and a BLM instream restoration project.  And the weather cooperated!  The meeting was complete with hot dog roast, drinks, and s'mores!
