The national soil science Program Lead for the BLM came to Oregon for a visit.  He's re-writing manuals on survey protocol and this is/was our opportunity to get the unique work that we do incorporated into his document for the country.

Lake Creek Falls

We're unique here in Oregon because we have more staff on some districts that do some states - mostly due to the level of complexity and the revenue we bring in.

So I brought together some of my soils staff and we showed him some pretty sites (Lake Creek Falls), some unique sites (Hult Dam and Reservoir), and some typical sites (BLM timber sales).
