Take Your Kid to Work Day

I was going to take Emma to the woods or to a stream somewhere, but that would have been a lot more paperwork.  So instead, I just drove my personal car and took her and a fisheries biologist to the lighthouse on the coast that the BLM manages at Yaquina Head.

The weather was perfect.  I was there to investigate the feasibility of installing an automated weather station.  I think one could easily be installed.  If successful, the weather station would be online and provide live updates to the world including onsite management staff which have to close the lighthouse down once wind reaches 40mph.
