Post-Thanksgiving at Silver Falls

The day after Thanksgiving fees are waived at Oregon State Parks and the weather was perfect for a hike.  And amazingly enough we found parking at the lot nearest North Falls that Juleah, Teresa, and Dohn hadn't yet seen.  It was chilly up at the park - right at freezing.

A bit after Thanksgiving, the weather was again perfect for a backyard fire and I wanted to cook dinner out there so I made up piggy patties.  Even though the food was good, the weather turned out to be actually pretty dang cold.  And to top it off, Dohnele ended up with what looked like a sliver of firewood lodged in the back of her throat which had to be extracted with a tweezers; that put a damper on the evening.
