Mom flew into town for the last week of school to see Emma graduate and to see the twins finish up 6th grade including Zephyr's summer choir concert. Among other highlights, Emma had a senior party to attend which she really didn't want to go to, but I made her. She had a really good time because they had a raffle and she drew a laptop and a few other gifts. She also got yearbook autograph pages which she got signed and was surprised by the nice things that people said.
Zephyr's choir concert was not quite as nice. Firstly, the location, which was supposed to be up at the high school turned out to be booked for some graduation event so the concert had to be moved to the lawn outside Walker Middle School which was nice enough, but the sound was terrible (too quiet) and there was no seating and it was super hot out. Also, Zephyr had been fighting a stomach bug and even missed school, but wanted so badly to attend the concert. He did just fine, but was super tired and weak.

A very busy time...trying to navigate illness, heat and projects...but so wonderful to catch glimpses of Emma, hear Zephyr sing and braid Zoë's beautiful hair...so many wonderful memories. The kids did it! They finished school wonderfully!
