By design, we visited the falls mid-week because I didn't want to fight the crowds. And it worked just fine - there were only a dozen other folks there and lots of room to spread out. It was surprising though, how little the site was developed considering how popular it is. Hardly any designated trails and no railings; just lots of signs about how you'd die if you got too close to the edge. And it was no joke, a serious drop-off into the plunge pool of the waterfall. But the whole place was really beautiful.
After Palouse Falls, we headed the rest of the way to Pullman where we had a hotel room for the night. Zoe and I went into Moscow to do some shopping which she loved. Went to a Paradise Creek Brewery for dinner which Zephyr loved because they had mac-and-cheese which is his favorite. Bonus: another hotel pool for the night!
